Associate Lawyer (Maritime Law)
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly qualified Associate Lawyer to join our team, with a focus on Maritime Law. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling complex legal matters, providing high-level advisory services, and supporting litigation and transactional work within the maritime sector.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide legal advice on maritime and shipping law matters
Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents and contracts
Support litigation and dispute resolution processes
Conduct in-depth legal research and case analysis
Work closely with senior lawyers and clients on complex matters
Ensure compliance with applicable international and domestic regulations
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 2 years of post-qualification legal experience
Proven experience in Maritime Law / Shipping Law (mandatory)
Law degree from a reputable and recognized law faculty
Excellent command of written and spoken English (required)
Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills
High level of professionalism, responsibility, and attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and as part of a legal team
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in international maritime disputes or arbitration
Familiarity with shipping contracts, charter parties, and marine insurance
Exposure to cross-border legal matters
